Now from the sixth hour (noon) until the ninth hour
( 3 P M ) there was darkness over all the land. And
about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a
loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?"
Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn
in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked,
and the rocks were split.
( Matthew 27:45 & 51 *NKJV )
Friend , the Holy Veil being torn from top to bottom
signified God's opening up the Temple [Church] to all
people, Gentile as well as Jew. Thus making us all part
of the Body of Christ!
You see, the temple veil separated the most holy place
called the "Holy of Holies," where God was to reside, from
the people. Only the high priest was allowed to pass behind
the veil, and then only on the "Day of Atonement." (see LEV
16:20) Thus, the people of the Old Testament could only
approach God through a priest and a blood sacrifice to be
forgiven of their sins. A young male lamb was the customary
sacrifice offered for this in the Temple at Jerusalem.
Also of Note; Jesus died exactly at 3 PM, which was the
exact time of the evening sacrifice at the Temple.
Therefore Christ became our sacrifice, for that is why
John the Baptist said;
"Behold! The Lamb of God who
takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29)
when he saw Jesus coming. Also the Apostle Paul wrote;
For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed
for us. Therefore let us keep the feast. Amen
( 1 CORINTHIANS 5:7 )
Have a Wonderful Easter, Pat, and why not attend
the Church of your choice, if you don't already, and
celebrate Christ's Resurrection this Sunday!
Also if you have children, please teach them what
Easter is really all about, so they do not grow up thinking
it is only about bunny rabbits and colored eggs and candy.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your
strength.
( Deuteronomy 6:5 *NIV )
Dear Friend,
It is very easy to love the Lord with all your being
when you think about how much He loves each of us.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and
only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life. "For God so loved the world that
He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in
Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
( John 3:16 )
Further, Jesus Christ said;
Greater love has no one
than this, that He lay down His life for His friends. You
are my friends if you do what I command.
( John 15:13-14 )
Therefore;
And so we know and rely on the love
God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives
in God, and God in him.
Thus it is only right to show God
our love by worshiping Him, for; Yet the time is coming
and has now come when the true worshipers will worship
the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of
worshipers the Father seeks.
( 1 John 4:16 ) & ( John 4:23 )
So Friend,
Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under
His care. Amen. ( Psalm 95:6-7 )

Do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good and
acceptable and perfect will of God.
( Romans 12:2 *NKJV )
Dear Friend,
Do not let this World's values and moral standards take
charge of your thinking. Instead let the Holy Spirit direct
your thinking, by renewing your mind. For them you will be
able to understand what God's Will for your life is!
After All, it is when we start following God's Will for us that
we become filled with God's Love, Hope, Faith and Peace!
Also we become a new person, the person we were meant to
be. The Apostle Paul best described this when he wrote;
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
( 2 Corinthians 5:17 )
So;
Set your mind on things above, not on things
on the earth. ( Colossians 3:2 ) So; that you may
become blameless and harmless, children of God
without fault in the midst of a crooked and
perverse generation, among whom you shine as
lights in the world, ( Philippians 2:15 )
So "shine on" my friend, and may;
The grace of
our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
( 1 Thessalonians 5:28 )
Now in keeping with our usual Saturday message, I will share
with you a message that I received this week from one of our
Brother's-In Christ.. Now we all know how mischievous young
boys can be. So I hope that you will enjoy this as much as I did!
It is appropriately titled:
;In a certain suburban neighborhood, there were two brothers,
8 and 10 years old, who were exceedingly mischievous.
Whenever something went wrong in the neighborhood, it turned
out they had a hand in it. Their parents were at their wits' end
trying to control them.
Hearing about a Minister nearby who worked with delinquent
boys, the mother suggested to the father that they ask the
Minister to talk with the boys. The father agreed. The mother
went to the Minister and made her request. He agreed, but said
he wanted to see the younger boy first and alone.
So the mother sent him to the Minister. The Minister sat the boy
down on the other side of his huge, impressive desk. For about
five minutes they just sat and stared at each other.
Finally, the Minister pointed his forefinger at the boy and asked
"Where is God?"
The boy looked under the desk, in the corners of the room, all
around, but said nothing.
Again, louder, the Minister pointed at the boy and asked,
"Where Is God?"
Again the boy looked all around but said nothing. A third time,
in a louder, firmer voice, the Minister leaned far across the
desk and put his forefinger almost to the boy's nose, and asked
"WHERE IS GOD!"
The boy panicked and ran all the way home. Finding his older
brother, he dragged him upstairs to their room and into the
closet, where they usually plotted their mischief. He finally said,
"We are in B-I-I-I-I-G trouble now!" The older boy asked, "What
do you mean, B-I-I-I-I-G trouble?" His brother replied, "God is
missing and they think we did it."
